Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit prolita.lt or contact us, and what rights you have.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is UAB "Prolita", registration number 302555306, registered address L. Asanavičiūtės g. 38-62, LT-04313 Vilnius, Lithuania.

For any questions about data protection, email us at info@prolita.lt or call +370 650 96747.

What data we process

prolita.lt is an information site. There is no registration and no online shop on it.

We receive personal data when you call or email us. We may process your name, phone number and email address, the details of your enquiry, and any other information you choose to give us, such as a delivery address.

The site is hosted and delivered to visitors by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. To keep the site secure and running properly, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data: your IP address, your browser type and the time of each request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, properly working site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to identify visitors or for marketing.

What we use your data for

We use your data to answer your questions, help you choose the right equipment, prepare a quotation, enter into and perform a contract, deliver goods, provide warranty service or supply spare parts. We also process data to meet our legal obligations, including keeping accounting records.

We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Our legal basis may be taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and running properly, or your consent where we use analytics cookies. We also comply with the Lithuanian Law on the Legal Protection of Personal Data.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or pass it to others for marketing purposes. It may be processed only by the service providers we need to run our business: our email and website hosting providers, couriers when we deliver goods, and our accountants. Our email runs on Google Workspace, provided by Google Ireland Limited; the data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We may disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep data only as long as we need it to answer your enquiry and perform the contract. Accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Cookies

We save your cookie choice in your browser's storage. The prolita-consent entry is kept for 12 months, after which we ask you again. This entry is essential for the site to work, so it does not require your consent. If you choose the light or the dark theme, we save that in your browser's storage too (the prolita.theme entry); this does not require your consent either.

We use the Google Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_YHFH9EDWLB only if you allow them in the cookie notice. They help us tell visits apart and see which pages are useful to visitors. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics also counts how often our phone number or email address is clicked; only the click itself is recorded, not your data. These cookies last up to 13 months. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Data about individual visitors and what they do on the site is deleted after 14 months; only aggregated statistics are kept longer.

This service is provided by Google Ireland Limited. The data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, a framework the European Commission has recognised as ensuring an adequate level of protection.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via in the site footer. You can also clear your choice by deleting cookies in your browser.

We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics for visitor statistics. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it runs regardless of your cookie choice. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful to visitors. It receives the address of the page you visit, the page you came from, the links you click (for example our phone number, our email address or a link to one of our stores), your browser language, your browser, operating system and device type, your screen size, and your approximate location (to city level), derived from your IP address. The IP address is not stored. Unique visitors are counted within a single day only: a random key that changes every day is deleted after 24 hours, so no visitor can be recognised on another day or on other sites. The service is provided by Ahrefs Pte Ltd (Singapore), and the data is stored in the USA. Transfers outside the European Economic Area are covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@prolita.lt. We will reply within 15 calendar days.

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija) at vdai.lrv.lt.
